GRANUJA

Mateo Montaño (Granuja, Beatmaker, MC and producer), was born in Apartadó, Colombia, a small town eight hours away from Medellín, Colombia.

After moving to Medellín aged 11, his connection with rap music gathered pace when he began listening to classic US rappers such as Wu Tang Clan, most notably, Method Man. In 2009, Granuja started to record his first songs, after years learning how to produce and freestyle. After working with numerous crews between 2010 and 2016, Granuja launched his first solo album ‘Círculo Vicioso’ in 2017.

Fast forward to 2023, and Granuja joined forces with Jam Baxter on LP ‘De las Sombras’, a record that continues to grow in presence across the UK, South America and beyond, and the first collaboration of its kind on High Focus.
